Church Staff
Our Pastor
Lee Herring became pastor of First Baptist Church, Santa Fe in early 2003. He came to Santa Fe from the Glenwood Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma where he served for more than 7 years. He says:
“Santa Fe is an incredible place to live and work. Few if any other places in the world offer the same combination of cultural diversity, historical influence and natural beauty. Santa Fe also offers a real challenge to live and proclaim the truth of God’s Word. That’s why I consider it a great privilege to serve as pastor of the First Baptist Church, a Christian family who takes their faith seriously and who loves others enough to tell them – and show them – the grace of Jesus Christ.”
Lee and his wife, Gina, have three children: Seth, Scott, and Leah. Their amazing wonder dog, Grace, helps keep an eye on the family at home.

Our Worship Pastor
Robert Winn is a life-long Minister of Music, Worship Leader, and concert artist who is the Associate Pastor of Praise and Worship. Robert is a native Texan, but served churches in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 28 years. Arriving in Santa Fe in March of 2004, Robert is building on the great music traditions of First Baptist of Santa Fe and moving into new and innovative ways to worship and praise our Lord.
“I believe God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22), and there is no place I would rather be than where the Lord dwells” says Robert. “Our church has so much potential to be a place where God is worshipped in such a powerful way that it attracts others to come and be a part of us.”
Robert is married to his high school sweetheart, Sandra (since 1964), has two married daughters and four incredible grandchildren.
Our Church Secretary
Linda Wilson has served under four Pastors over the last 17 years. Her title does not nearly describe her helping hand to all the church staff, voluntary functions, and ministries. Linda says:
“It is my pleasure to serve the Lord at First Baptist Church and my desire to be helpful and pleasant to everyone who comes through our doors or calls us on the phone.”
Linda is a devoted wife of John, a loving mother of two grown children, and a grandmother of three young children.
Our Finance and Publications Secretary
Billie Koller has been a member of our church since 1983. She has served as Publications Secretary since the spring of 2004. Her responsibilities include preparation and printing of all publications of the church. Billie is also our church finance secretary as of Febuary 2006. Her responsibilities include keeping track of budget matters, spending, and total inflows and outflows of church money. Billie says:
“I feel that the Lord has brought me to this position after retiring from Glorieta Conference Center.”
She has three grown children and seven grandchildren, two of whom live with her.
Our Interim Youth Pastor
Brandon Spurgeon has been part of the staff since December of 2008. Brandon’s dedication to the Lord and his enthusiasm for working with our Youth have made him a welcome addition to our church family. Brandon and his wife, Ali, have three children: Michael, Abigail, and Marcus.
